The City of Carson made this record attempt as part their Fourth of July weekend celebration, called Community Friendship Day. The slime was made by mixing and kneading together 1/3 cup glue and 1/4 cup liquid starch, as well as red, white, and blue dye and/or glitter of the participant's choosing. The event was fully funded by members of the community and local sponsors, the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Prologis, and YouTube "Slime Queen" Karina Garcia.
