The fastest ascent from the lowest to the highest point on Earth (Dead Sea to Everest) is 150 days 19 hours and 15 minutes and was achieved by Pauline Sanderson, Dominic Faulkner, Jamie Rouan (all UK) and Geri Winkler (Austria), at the summit of Mount Everest, Nepal, on 21 May 2006.

The record holders departed from Amman, Jordan, on 21 December 2005 and travelled overland by bicycle across Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Tibet before beginning their ascent of Everest.

Pauline Sanderson summited Everest on 18 May 2006. Geri Winkler followed two days later on 20 May, and Dominic Faulkner and Jamie Rouan summitted on 21 May.

Pauline, Dominic and Jamie were part of the Everestmax expedition, which was led by Dominic. Geri completed the journey as part of a friendly race with the Everestmax team.
