The largest pupusa is 6.15 m (20 ft 2 in) in diameter, and was achieved by Fiesta DC (USA) in Washington, District of Columbia, USA, on 28 September 2024.
The attempt was attended by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, who cut and served the first ceremonial pieces of the pupusa. The pupusa was served with curtido, a traditional Salvadoran cabbage slaw.
