The longest waterfall descent by kayak (male) is 57.6 metres (189 feet), achieved by Tyler Bradt (USA) on the Palouse Falls, Washington, USA, on 21 April 2009; and equalled by Knox Hammack and James Shimizu (both USA) at the same location on 2 April 2019.

Rafa Ortiz also attempted a descent of the Palouse Falls in 2012 but was ejected from his kayak on landing.
