Best-selling singles week in the UK

For the first time, over four million singles were sold (4.028m) in the UK in the week ending 27 December 2008. This was the biggest total since accurate records were kept. The figure (of which 93.5% were downloads) included a record breaking 338,203 complete album downloads.
