The 2023 Davis Cup featured 155 competing nations – 10 more than took part in the 2022 edition. The self-proclaimed “World Cup of Tennis” served up its first qualifiers – featuring the likes of Chile, Finland and Uzbekistan – on 3–5 February 2023, with 24 World Group I and World Group II play-offs also swinging into action around the globe. A number of nations less associated with tennis such as Barbados, Jordan, New Zealand, Vietnam and Zimbabwe played host to some of the two-day World Group match-ups, while Greece were able to call upon 2023 Australian Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas for their qualifying tie against Ecuador on 4–5 February. The 2023 Finals will be held at the José María Martín Carpena Arena in Málaga, Spain, on 21–26 November.

Wildcards Canada won the 2022 edition – their first title at the 110th staging of an event that was founded in 1900 as a Great Britain vs USA challenge.
