Largest New Years Eve celebration (city)

The largest New Year’s Eve celebration (city) is 2,5000,000 people and was achieved by Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with the support of agency SRCOM, in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 31 December 2024.

The event took place along the full stretch of Copacabana Beach and was officially promoted under a single unified program, featuring coordinated stages, performances, and the traditional midnight fireworks display.
