Largest Encocado de Camarón

The largest Encocado (Encocao) de Camarón weighs 1,331.6 kg (2,942.57 lbs), and was achieved by Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal Del Cantón Esmeraldas (Ecuador), in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, on 4 March 2025.

After the cooking was complete, more than 10,000 plates were sold at $1 each. The proceeds went women cooks selected beforehand by the organizers, recognizing their role in preserving culinary culture.
