The most scored by one player in a match is 16 by Stephan Stanis (né Stanikowski, b. Poland, 15 Jul 1913) for Racing Club de Lens v. Aubry-Asturies, in Lens, France, in a wartime French Cup game on 13 Dec 1942. 

This was equalled by Panagiotis Pontikos (Cyprus) of Olympos Xylofagou who hit 16 goals against SEK Ayios Athanasios FC, in a 24-3 win in a Cypriot 3rd division match, in Xylofagou, Cyprus, on 6 May 2007.
