The most Formula One pole positions in a career is 104, achieved by Lewis Hamilton (UK) for McLaren and Mercedes from 9 June 2007 to 22 July 2023.

Hamilton completed a century of pole positions at the 2021 Spanish Grand Prix, having bypassed Michael Schumacher’s record of 68 poles at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on 2 September 2017. Hamilton has qualified fastest at 32 different circuits – also a record. His best season to date in terms of qualifying was 2016, with 12 poles.
