The most double victories over a race weekend in the World Superbike Championship is 22, by Jonathan Rea (UK) from 25 April 2010 to 14 October 2018. Rea claimed the outright record by winning both races at Imola in Italy on 12–13 May 2018, the same weekend that he equalled Carl Fogarty’s record of 59 career race victories.

Traditionally, each round of the World Superbike Championship comprises two races, held at the same course on the same weekend. Rea clinched his record-equalling fourth World Superbike Championship by winning an unprecedented 11 races in a row. The final race of the 2018 season in Qatar was cancelled owing to bad weather, denying Rea the chance to record his sixth consecutive double victory.
