The largest serving of cecina is 283.10 kg (624 lb 2 oz) and was achieved by Consejo Regulador I.G.P. Cecina de León (Spain) in León, Spain, on 27 May 2018.

67 professional carvers cut the cecina in under two hours using the traditional technique, which was then presented as one large serving of more than 80 square meters. All the food was sold to the public with the money from this going to local charities.
