The fastest text message (SMS) on a touch screen mobile phone while water skiing is 49.09 seconds and was achieved by T-Mobile and Kirk Lee (both USA) on Lake Elsinore, California, USA, on 13 March 2018.
The attempt was organised by T-Mobile. Kirk used a Samsung S9 mobile phone, with the water ski tow rope tucked between his legs, Kirk was pulled by a blimp at 14 kts (16 mph) along an oval course. On Kirk's third and final attempt he was successful.
