Spotify’s most streamed album of all time, Bad Bunny’s (Puerto Rico, b. Benito Ocasio) Un Verano Sin Ti (2022), was the platform’s most popular album of 2023 with 4.5 billion streams. The 23-track Grammy-winning album was also named Spotify’s most played of 2022. Five tracks – “Me Porto Benito” (feat. Chencho Corleone), “Tití Me Preguntó”, “Callaita” (feat. Tainy), “Ojitos Lindos” (feat. Bomba Estéreo) and “Efecto” – had all surpassed 1 billion streams as of 8 December 2023, with opener “Moscow Mule” (996.2 million) set to follow suit.
Un Verano Sin Ti returned to the top of the podium in 2023 at the expense of two other albums released in 2022: Taylor Swift’s Midnights at No.2 and SZA’s SOS at No.3. The 2023 deluxe version of The Weeknd’s 2016 album Starboy and KAROL G’s MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO completed the top five.
After three consecutive years of being Spotify’s most streamed act (2020–22), Bad Bunny had to make do with second spot in 2023, behind Taylor Swift.
