Largest prize pool for an American football videogame

First announced in June 2016, the four competitions that comprise the Madden NFL Championship Series collectively carry a prize pot of $1,000,000 dollars. The $1,000,000 prize pool is split between the four competitions, with Madden Classic getting a pool of $100,000, Madden Bowl getting a pool of $250,000, Madden Challenge getting a pool of $150,000 and the Madden Championship getting a pool of $500,000.

The Madden NFL Championship Series marks a renewed commitment from EA, the publisher behind the Madden NFL series, towards developing the eSports appeal of its popular sports videogames.
