This figure comprises revenue from syndication and DVD/home-video sales, a worldwide movie gross of $2.27 billion with a TV revenue of $2.3 billion, and an estimated $4.75 billion in retail sales.

The original 1966 Star Trek TV series began syndication almost immediately after the third season was cancelled in 1969.
