Both California Games (Epyx, 1987) and Speedball II: Brutal Deluxe (Bitmap Brothers, 1990) have been ported and remade for 16 different platforms. California Games is a compendium of extreme sports mini-games, including surfing and BMX. It has appeared on the Apple II, Commodore 64, Amiga, Apple IIGS, Atari 2600, Atari ST, Atari Lynx, DOS, SEGA Genesis/Megadrive, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, NES, MSX, SEGA Master System, Java Mobile Phones and Nintendo Wii. By contrast, Speedball II: Brutal Deluxe is a futuristic team sport combining elements of handball and ice hockey with lashings of cartoon violence. It has appeared on Atari ST, Amiga, Amiga CD32, C64, Acorn Archimedes, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, PC x 2 (Speedball Tournament, Speedball 2 HD), PlayStation (Speedball 2100), Xbox Live Arcade (Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe 2007, and iOS, PSP and PS3 (Speedball 2 Evolution).
