The longest time in an abdominal plank position with 40lb pack (male) is 85 minutes 2.16 seconds, achieved by Josef Šálek (Czech Republic), in Ostrava, Czech Republic, on 18 July 2024

Josef, known as Joska, also holds the records 'Longest time in an abdominal plank position' and 'Fastest half marathon on ice/snow'. The attempt took place at the Game Changers stage at Colours of Ostrava, a large outdoor music festival. After surpassing the previous record to beat, Joska sang the Czech national anthem whilst still in plank position. The audience stood up and sang along. Joska then initiated a countdown from 10 to 0, at which point he lowered to the ground and the attempt ended. Joska now holds three endurance based record titles.
