The first fully spherical, 360-degree video was filmed on the summit of Mount Everest in May 2013. The footage was captured with 360Heros 360 video gear for a documentary by Everest Media Productions about Nepalese climber Apa Sherpa, who also acted as a consultant for the shoot. The 3D printed 360Heros 360 Plug-n-Play holder was invented by Michael Kintner (USA) and on Everest, six GoPro cameras were used to create interactive HD 360 footage.
