The University of Houston, USA, hit the headlines in 2009 when it unveiled its Wii Performance course. Created by the UH department of health and human performance, the course incorporated several different Wii games including Wii Fit, EA Sports Active, Wii Sports Resort and Dance Dance Revolution. Students received one credit hour for the class, which was designed to teach students the practice of posture, centre of balance and the basic principles of maintaining a healthy body weight through proper nutrition.
