Gamers in the US were told they can claim almost US$210 million (£133 million, 157 million Euros) in damages following a successful claim that EA's exclusive licensing agreement with the NFL “constituted an illegal monopoly”. A US judge ruled that EA overcharged for the American football games Madden NFL, NCAA Football and Arena Football between 2005 and 2012. Anyone who bought an American football game during this time has been able to claim a refund of US$5.85 (£3.72, 4.38 Euros) for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii titles and US$20.37 (£12.96, 15.27 Euros) for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox purchases.
