The fastest tractor (modified) is 217.570 km/h (135.191 mph) and was achieved by Guy Martin (UK), driving a modified JCB Fastrac, in Elvington, North Yorkshire, UK, on 23 October 2019.
The attempt was made using a JCB Fastrac where the standard engine had been replaced with a modified JCB engine producing power over 1000 hp. The traditional manifold had been replaced by a 3D printed manifold. Other modification included a new, smaller, more aerodynamic cab, new aluminium bonnet and new bodywork – front bumper, side panniers, rear diffuser, underbody pan.
